American Alliance of Museums

The American Alliance of Museums works to unite the country’s museums from art museums to zoos. The Alliance helps museums tell our story and promotes a deeper understanding of museums with policymakers, the press and the public. The Alliance has many issue briefs and platforms pertinent to gardens and living museums.

Museums Advocacy Day

The American Alliance of Museums Advocacy Day is held each February and provides training, resources, and the experience of visiting legislators on the hill to champion museums and gardens to your legislators. American Public Gardens Association Member Gardens receive free registration for the program; needing only to support their own travel to be a part of the program.

Our benchmarking study platform provides the facts you need to develop a compelling case to promote your garden’s value. If your garden participated, you’ll easily find where it ranks in comparison to its peers on this simple to use, yet seriously powerful platform. If they didn’t enter data, you’ll still be able to access summary results on the platform.
