Applications are accepted through March 1 for With an Eye Towards Nature: A Japanese Garden Design Intensive. This unparalleled three-day study opportunity uses the natural scenery of the Columbia River Gorge as an outdoor classroom before bringing students back to Portland Japanese Garden for further study and a design assignment. Special guest instructor Marc Treib will participate in the last day's design critique. Application is open to landscape architects, landscape designers and other professionals. The event is accredited for landscape architecture continuing education through LA CES and is worth 25 continuing education hours. It is also accredited by the Association of Professional Landscape Designers for 12 professional development hours.
